YOLA: Where to Get Very Cheap COUNTRY YOGHURT

We have been having problems with the pricing of our product, Country Yoghurt, in Yola. We often learn that a small bottle of 0.5 litres is sold at N450 (I once bought one so myself) and the big one of 1 Litre between N900 and N1,000.

That price is not in our best interest. Wherever possible we do not want the prices to exceed N300 and N600 for the half and one litre bottles respectively. The problem is that due to distance and poor road, we deliver the yoghurt to a distributor in Yola, who picks it from Gombe and transports it to Yola. Even though we believe we have provided a sufficient discount to cover the transportation from Gombe to Yola and for the fact that he still needs to add his profit the twwo bottles of the product would not have sold for more than N350 and N700, in any case. But it does, in spite of our complaints.

Now, we are very glad to announce that a supermarket in Gombe called SanHusein has agreed to sell the Yoghurt in Yola at a rate cheaper than it is sold even in Tilde. The big bottle right now sells at N550 while the small one sells at the normal N300 in the supermarke in Yola. The supermarket may likely increase the 1 litre to N580 in future if it considers transportation cost.
